Adelaide Bridal Expo – Free tickets – winner!

thank you to all the beautiful stories of romance and love ! here are our three winners …

From Renee Owen of OAKDEN:

My fiancé and I were on holidays staying at Peppers Casuarina Lodge, Byron Bay. On the last night of our holiday we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the retreat’s restaurant,Wilson’s by the Creek. Guests where dinning indoors, however when we arrived at the restaurant, I noticed it was a beautiful evening, and I asked our waiter to set up a table on the outside balcony that overlooked the hinterland. We were the first couple to dine on the balcony that night and we started a trend. We enjoyed a beautiful three course meal, dinning on amazing food by candle light.

Gradually the guests left the restaurant, and my finance & I where the only people on the balcony. As we were sipping champagne and savouring our sumptuous desert, my fiancé got down on one knee and proposed, presenting me with my dream engagement diamond ring. My fiancé is very shy in public, so it was a complete surprise to see him get down on one knee and propose.

It was such a special evening; I will never forget that night and our happy holiday. We can definitely say that our Bryon Bay holiday was the start of a beautiful engagement”

From Rebecca McMann of PARADISE:

“My fiance and I took a quick vacation to Port Fairy, just over the SA boarder into Victoria. We stayed in a gorgeous little weatherboard cottage opposite the little port. It was a rainy weekend in the beginning of March, and we had spent the day walking in the rain around the boardwalks and beaches and looking at all the beautiful little cottages. We went to the local pub for dinner, but as soon as we got there my fiance realised he’d left his wallet back at the cottage and had to race back to collect it. At the time it didn’t feel like he had gone for long!

We had a lovely meal and some beautiful wine. When we  returned to the cottage, the porch light was on. We got out of the car and I walked towards the cottage … I could see a row of rose petals leading in under the door. As we opened the door, the rose petals continued over the floor and spread out in the lounge in a great circle. My fiance asked me to stand in the middle of the petals. He got down on one knee and opened a jewelry box with the most exquisite diamond ring and asked if I would be his wife. I couldn’t stop crying and said yes immediately! It was the most amazing experience of my life!”

From Helen Frankston of MODBURY:

“My fiance is the most un-romantic person I had ever met. The kind of guy who took me on a date and we had hot chips and sauce! But he’s gorgeous both inside and out, and we had been together for a quite a few years. My 27th birthday was coming up and I said that I would really like to just go out to lunch and have a quiet day. So we went out for an early lunch and headed home at about midday. When we were almost home, my fiance stopped the car and told me to tie a blind fold over my eyes and made me promise not to peek. I had no idea what was going on! …

We pulled into the drive way, and he walked me up into the house and out in the back yard. He took my blindfold off and in front of me was all my friends and family standing there shouting ‘happy birthday!’ … there were balloons and streamers and cheering … and I just burst into tears! It was amazing. The party went well into the evening and at about 6pm, just as people were starting to say goodbye, he started to make a speech. Everyone went quiet, and all of a sudden he was down on one knee asking me to be his wife! I said yes (of course! – and thinking ‘typical – no ring!) and once we had kissed and hugged and everyone was cheering for us, his mum came out of the kitchen with two glasses of champagne for us. I took a sip and realised there was something at the bottom of the glass! … It was a beautiful ring! ”

Sneak Peek {Adelaide Newborn Photographer}

As I said … I had a great weekend! …

I had the pleasure of photographing the teesiest, tinyest little bubba … only 5 pounds, and not even 2 weeks old …

Despite her size, she made her presence known and it took a huge team effort to get her to fall asleep … cranking that heating up, lots of feeds, rocking, shhhh-ing, and more feeds and rocking! …

But we got there in the end … how super cute is she!??

Sneak peek {Adelaide Maternity Photographer}

oh. wow.

I have been surrounded by beautiful bumps and blissful babies this weekend :) … *ahh heaven* :)

I had the pleasure of photographing this little bumps’ older cousin quite a while ago, when he was just a bump aswell …

At 33 weeks, mum looks just divine, with this gorgeous-compact-oh-so-round-except-when-the-baby-is-moving bump … this little family was just delightful :)

And I think I’ve captured my new favorite maternity shot … I just love this one in the hallway …

Beautiful Birth Festival Winner! {Adelaide Baby Photographer}

You may remember a few months back we were the major sponsors of the Beautiful Birth Festival.  We also donated a gift certificate to the raffle’s which were running over the weekend.

This week I photographed the winner! I was overjoyed to find a squealing ball of excitement when I arrived at the home of ‘H’ and little ‘E’. Boy was she cute. Too cute. So cute that I went home and told my husband I want another baby, a little girl, one that squeals and giggles. Oh, she was just adorable. And literally giggled away for the whole hour that I was there. She was, without a doubt, the easiest baby I have ever photographed.

Today I received a beautiful phone message from her mum, ‘H’. I think she said ‘Thank you’ twelve times in the message along with lots of other lovely things! It made my day. Unexpected messages like these are one of the things I truly love most about my job. Showing parents the amazing moments that are right there in front of them every day on one frozen capture. Thank YOU ‘H’, you are an inspiration. You know why.

what a mum! {Adelaide family photographer}

What a day I had! First up meeting the lovely Kate and her two smallest children, Miss J and 8 week old Master C. Once I negotiated the driveway, a hidden world opened up in front of me – a beautiful home nesteld in the tree tops of the Adelaide Hills was their own little hideaway. It was just gorgeous!  Master C was not very fond of me and did not want to be left without his mums comforting arms around him so we worked with him and captured some tender moments between Mum and Master C.

adelaide-baby-photographer-23

….and the divine Miss J who was such a character! Besotted by her little brother but no idea of the force behind a toddler! She just wanted to smother him in kisses but the poor little guy just didn’t appreciate it like we did!!

Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous girl. Beautiful whispy hair. Inquisitive eyes. She wanted a part of everything! I think I need to hire her as my assistant!

adelaide-baby-photographer-32

Thanks for a great morning! I will be in touch with your gallery very soon. I hope you had a more relaxing afternoon! (More relaxing than me at all the toy sales….. crazy!)
