One of the things I love most about my job is the amazing people I get to meet, so often completely unexpected.  I met this gorgeous little man in a chance meeting 3 weeks ago. I cuddled him and and asked his mummy if I could take him home (of course she said no!) and then completely randomly they book a photoshoot, I show up and see the same sweet little face looking at me! And his Mummy ‘A’ is just as gorgeous as him (but still wouldn’t let me keep him!).

‘A’ – you are glowing with happiness, it is oozing from every part of you, you made me smile too.

…. her mum doesn’t think so! lol! ‘D’ is another one who I have been photographing since she was in the belly, watched her grow, change, learn, hearing the voice that comes from that tiny little newborn… I love my job.

‘K’ told me that when she was pregnant all she wanted was a baby with monkey hair.  Yesterday she told me that is what she got. I think she got much more than that! ‘J’ is a true angel, so sweet and gentle, I just wanted to take him home.  Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens was the perfect location for this shoot, some lovely shade, beautiful gardens – the perfect place for a picnic and a cuddle with a baby.

Good luck with your new adventure in 2009, looking forward to seeing you for a shoot when you return.

oh how I love maternity sessions …. to be looking through the lens and see a little bump move around …. the wonderful anticipation of future dreams and goals of the families I meet …. oh man … I have the BEST job! (oh and this couple knew the way to my heart was through a good cup of caffine!) ….

I have watched this family grow over the past five years – from their wedding in the beginning through maternity, newborn and toddler photos and I never ever say no to a photoshoot on a farm especially with two of my favourite models ever! Introducing ‘L’ and ‘I’ to our new blog!

and how could I not include my own little man who came along for the shoot and was ever so patient… and very pleased with the reward of a turn on the tyre swing!

The ACOCP is a community of photographers with a big heart. Every now and then we are priviledged to be let into the lives of some amazing families. One of those families shared their story with me last Sunday.  My heart expanded after meeting little ‘L’ and her family. The love was evident to me from the moment I stepped inside. She is adorable. These pictures do not do her justice.

Photographing teenagers is invigorating! Especially when they are sisters! Although it does make me realise how old I am! The stories these two and their mum were telling us had Kate and I both in stitches….

3 locations…. 60 minutes…. 2 photographers…. and 2 gorgeous teenage girls…
