Blogging this session was so hard because my list of favourites was incredible! I can’t wait to share them all!

Bright and early on Sunday morning I headed to Murray Bridge to photograph Alex, Jason and Corey in celebration of their wedding later this year. Jason told me he was allergic to photos but I tend to disagree…..

Sometimes I meet a new family and I see them with their children and I can just see the love between them – the shared memories, the unspoken understanding, the bond that only they can share.  That is what it was like when I met 7 year old Corey. WOW is he cute. He has the curliest curly hair ever and is the sweetest little boy.  He ran off inside half way through the shoot and we all assumed he had gone to grab a toy or that he had had enough of having photos taken. A few minutes later he appeared with a pair of scissors and a flower he had cut from the bushes for his mum.  This little guy just oozes love for his mummy, it was just beautiful! Take this shot for example….. this was the photo I was going for…. and look what I also get without even asking! The pure, innocent love of a child. Perfect.

Alex is absolutely without a doubt drop dead gorgeous. I can not wait to see her on her wedding day. Im pretty sure Jason thinks so too…. (and this is all very EARLY on a Sunday morning!)

Thank you for such a fun shoot! I have no doubt your wedding will be just the same. We had such a blast, it was almost a race to get home and update Facebook with how much fun tis shoot was!

John and Michelle won our competition to win their complete wedding package.

I can not think of a couple more deserving or more grateful for this prize.  These two have been known to hang around a certain Adelaide western suburbs jetty and it seems that the photographer for the social pages of a certain Adelaide newspaper likes the look of them!  So it seemed fitting that we get some shots around their favourite beach…

These two crazy cats are fun all over, inside and out. I see their wedding as being filled with close family and friends, laughing and drinking and talking about the silly things they have done.  It will be relaxed and entertaining and so very ‘them’.  Ceremony in Henley Square, photos around Henley Square and Henley Beach and then reception at their favourite restaurant.  It doesn’t get more personal than that. Perfect.

Want to know a secret? They are getting married early March and haven’t bought their wedding rings yet!  This is how relaxed they are!  I love it!

When you drag a couple into the scrub, ask them to walk through waist high weeds and climb half way up a hill next to Mount Lofty, wondering ‘am i pushing the boundaries here’ – it is so refreshing to hear them respond eagerly ‘of course we can’, ’sure!’  I think if I had asked them to walk all the way to Mount Lofty they would have and all in the name of capturing a great photo – so Thank You for being explorers with me, we found a great spot and had many laughs chatting away as we went.

Kayla is the daughter of one of the loveliest ladies I have ever met. She is patient and kind and loving. She is everything in a mum that I hope to be. It was my absolute pleasure to photograph Kayla all ready for her school formal.

She just looked stunning. And her very clever mum even made her dress! Kayla, I hope you had a fabulous night – you looked totally gorgeous. I hope all your dreams come true for you.

Kate and I had an absolutely wonderful day last week photographing Carol and Bill.

Recently wed in Hong Kong this totally sweet couple honeymooned in Australia and stayed at the equisite luxury hotel The Louise in the Barossa Valley. If you want a relaxing weekend away or a truly romantic hideaway this is the place, just perfect.  Traveling with them was their wedding attire all ready for a photoshoot with us, a yummy cheese platter, a bottle of delicious champagne and a sunny afternoon. How stunning do they both look?! I fell in love with the wedding rings, both engraved with personal message and wedding date.

We began the afternoon with a picnic for two (and two more with cameras!)

totally cute! They snuggled and kissed and cuddled all afternoon!

We came across some fabulous locations – a vineyard, railway track, more vineyards, The Louise itself, a lovely park and more vineyards. We are so blessed to live in a state which is surrounded by gorgeous countryside filled with many vineyards acknowledged all over the world.

And one of my favourite shots of the day – a candid moment of these two in their own little love bubble… (this is the view from their room by the way – nice huh!)

And just for something different to finish off….. although these are just my shots… I will post some more of Kate’s later! What a fun day!

You know how sometimes you meet people who are just so much fun to be around?  That is Skye and David! So relaxed and casual but still so excited about their upcoming wedding.

They have chosen the delicious location of Longview Winery in Macclesfield, a small country town on the Fleurieu Peninsula for their wedding.  We met there last Saturday just before the sun went down to snoop out some lcoations. Everywhere I turned was gorgeous countryside, rolling hills, lush vines, windy dirt tracks. It is going to be a gem for bridal portraits.

Tom and Leonie’s wedding is approaching fast – at the gorgeous location of Partridge House they will will be married.

We met at the wedding location late yesterday afternoon to have a chat and take a few shots.  As I waited for them to arrive I sat on the lawn in the afternoon sun listening to the sound of kids laughing and playing, people chatting and birds singing. It was just beautiful.

These two are too cute together. Oh, and how gorgeous is Leonie!  I can not wait to see her in her wedding dress.

I snapped this shot as they were walking to their car… they had no idea I was taking a photo….. they are just so in love…..

Kate and I are very much looking forward to seeing you both all spunked up.

When I fell in love with photography in High School I recall insisting to my Photography teacher that I would never take photos of people.  Today it is these photographs that I cherish the most. The photographs that speak without needing words with them, the photographs that capture the true essence of a relationship between two people. More than a portrait to hang on the wall, but a moment to be held onto.

‘D’ and ‘J’ are very close to my heart for reasons that only those people closest to me truly understand.  ’J’ was my angel at the exact moment I needed one so desperately she appeared in my life, and I knew the moment I heard her speak that everything was going to be okay. And it was.

13 years ago this totally gorgeous, incredibly in love couple tied the knot. After receiving the small proofs of their wedding photos, their photographer disappeared and they were never able to get any more.  So today we spent the afternoon in a lovely little town called Strathalbyn on the Fleurieu Peninsula shooting their relationship.

Married for 13 years and these two are still so smitten with eachother it is just absolutely adorable. I wanted to jump in and cuddle them both!  A few weeks ago ‘D’ had ‘J’s wedding and engagement rings melted down to create her Eternity ring, the inspiration for them booking this photoshoot.  The symbol of their eternal love for eachother and I have a feeling the beginning of a new journey…..

Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. You guys are SO much fun to be around.

How absolutely gorgeous are these two? I have known Steve for a very long time. I met Ineka on the weekend for the first time. They are just adorable together. So in love. It was great to see you both, I’m looking forward to my visit in a few months. Enjoy your pics.

We had the best engagement session on the weekend – an appropriate day for it too, being 14th February *that would be Valentines Day for all those guys out there like my husband who have NO clue*  :) …

this couple are so relaxed and fun … 

Out the front of their beautiful Church where they will be married in about 6 weeks time  … 

a beautiful bunch of flowers for Valentines Day … and a ultra funky building at the Uni of Adelaide …. 

This wonderful couple even put up with us wanting to ‘try something different’ … trying explain how this image would work was quite tricky! but thanks for being such great sports … we hope you like it ….

And at the beautiful Himeji Gardens on South Terrace …. I just love how she is holding his shirt here … *so sweet* ….
