Fleurieu Peninsula Wedding Photographer

.

We used to call it an Engagement Session or an E Session – but it really is more than that.  It is your shoot, your place, your love – Your Story.  So this is why we renamed the infamous E Session to ‘Your Story’ Session.  Because it’s all about you and your world.

.

Sunday afternoon, with gorgeously overcast skies and a location to die for this happy little photographer headed to my favourite area of South Australia – the Fleurieu Peninsula.  I was in a bubble of creativity and excitement about this upcoming wedding.  Held at the Currency Creek Winery vineyards we are going to be surrounded by rolling countryside, pretty streams and vines.  Photo locations gallore… and we get full access to a private farm… as well as this cute little abandoned railway station…..  oh and did I mention the loveliest bride and groom who have put their full trust in my hands!

I am so excited about this wedding season I just can not express it in words!

First Glimpse

I love my job.

.

One of the things I love about my job is the feeling I get when people ‘choose’ me to be their Baby or Family or Wedding Photographer.

.

So when a friend chooses me to photograph their wedding – to capture the special, magical, funny, silly, emotional moments that make up their wedding day – I am truly honored.  To know that they trust me with such an enormous responsibility.  To know that they know I will recreate their day for them – tell the story back to them with images – even those little details that you forget so quickly.

.

Andrea and Owen are absolutely gorgeous.  Andrea has been waiting a very long time for this and it is finally on its way! In only a few short months Andrea and Owen will marry at the stunning Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens (which you may have noticed we love to photograph in!) and I just can not wait for this day to be here!

.

.

.

.

Enjoy your First Glimpse!

.

Belinda & Luke {Adelaide Wedding Photographer}

They met while working together at the beautiful Wirra Wirra Winery in McLaren Vale.

They’ve been together for “ages”, but only 9 weeks ago they decided that it was ‘time’ … and with only 9 weeks in which to prepare their entire wedding, the details are sounding gorgeous … an evening ceremony surrounded by candle light – LOTS of candle light …

We got together this morning to look around the winery and I ‘ooohed’ and ‘ahhhhed’ over the divine location like a childish fool! – for those who know my fetish for cool doorways – Wirra Wirra is my Nirvana.

Oh, and as we sat down to nut out the finer details, Belinda casually says “I’m really not photogenic!” …. um YEAH RIGHHHHHT! ….

Thanks for a great morning Belinda & Luke – Very much looking forward to working with you next week!

Sneak Peek {Adelaide Beach Wedding Photographer}

It was a beautiful warm Autumn morning on the beach at Port Noarlunga on Sunday … slightly overcast, the waves lapping gently at the sand. Fisherman casting their lines, and family dogs chasing seagulls ….

This was no typical ‘engagement session’ … with this beautiful couple, we have the pleasure of photographing BOTH their weddings! …

Bonnie and Andrew chose to have a small intimate wedding ceremony overlooking Port Noarlunga Beach surrounded by their closest friends … and they will be following it up with a beautiful ’second’ wedding day in a few weeks time (stay tuned!) …

Aren’t they just gorgeous!? At their ceremony they exchanged roses, instead of rings … too cute!

The weather gods were very kind! And I can’t wait for their ‘next’ wedding, in only a matter of weeks!

Thanks for a great morning guys! I’ll have your gallery up shortly.

Sneak Peek – Alex, Jason and Corey

Blogging this session was so hard because my list of favourites was incredible! I can’t wait to share them all!

Bright and early on Sunday morning I headed to Murray Bridge to photograph Alex, Jason and Corey in celebration of their wedding later this year. Jason told me he was allergic to photos but I tend to disagree…..

Sometimes I meet a new family and I see them with their children and I can just see the love between them – the shared memories, the unspoken understanding, the bond that only they can share.  That is what it was like when I met 7 year old Corey. WOW is he cute. He has the curliest curly hair ever and is the sweetest little boy.  He ran off inside half way through the shoot and we all assumed he had gone to grab a toy or that he had had enough of having photos taken. A few minutes later he appeared with a pair of scissors and a flower he had cut from the bushes for his mum.  This little guy just oozes love for his mummy, it was just beautiful! Take this shot for example….. this was the photo I was going for…. and look what I also get without even asking! The pure, innocent love of a child. Perfect.

Alex is absolutely without a doubt drop dead gorgeous. I can not wait to see her on her wedding day. Im pretty sure Jason thinks so too…. (and this is all very EARLY on a Sunday morning!)

Thank you for such a fun shoot! I have no doubt your wedding will be just the same. We had such a blast, it was almost a race to get home and update Facebook with how much fun tis shoot was!

John and Michelle at Henley Beach {Adelaide Wedding Photographer}

John and Michelle won our competition to win their complete wedding package.

I can not think of a couple more deserving or more grateful for this prize.  These two have been known to hang around a certain Adelaide western suburbs jetty and it seems that the photographer for the social pages of a certain Adelaide newspaper likes the look of them!  So it seemed fitting that we get some shots around their favourite beach…

These two crazy cats are fun all over, inside and out. I see their wedding as being filled with close family and friends, laughing and drinking and talking about the silly things they have done.  It will be relaxed and entertaining and so very ‘them’.  Ceremony in Henley Square, photos around Henley Square and Henley Beach and then reception at their favourite restaurant.  It doesn’t get more personal than that. Perfect.

Want to know a secret? They are getting married early March and haven’t bought their wedding rings yet!  This is how relaxed they are!  I love it!

Sneak Peek {Adelaide Hills Wedding Photographer}

I have to tell you … this couple have won my heart …

Since I first met ‘A’ at the very end of last year, this couple have moved house about 6 times, started on the slog of building a house, and completely organised a wedding! Not to mention working and dancing and going to the gym! …

I am so completely excited about this wedding … a gorgeous church, a gorgeous reception, and some AWESOME locations along the way! …

We met up on Friday for their engagement session at their beautiful tree filled block where they are building their new home …

You can just tell that these two enjoy each others company so much … ‘A’ has an contagious laugh, and a smile that brightens your day. ‘M’ is quietly observant … but completely in love!

we went for a wander on their block … down to an old fallen tree, amongst platypus ponds, the butterflies danced as the sun set behind the trees …

Thanks for a beautiful afternoon guys … we can’t wait to share your wondering day in April!

Sneak Peek – {Adelaide Portrait Photographer}

When you drag a couple into the scrub, ask them to walk through waist high weeds and climb half way up a hill next to Mount Lofty, wondering ‘am i pushing the boundaries here’ – it is so refreshing to hear them respond eagerly ‘of course we can’, ’sure!’  I think if I had asked them to walk all the way to Mount Lofty they would have and all in the name of capturing a great photo – so Thank You for being explorers with me, we found a great spot and had many laughs chatting away as we went.

Don’t forget that the Summer Bridal Ideas Expo is on this weekend at the Wayville Showgrounds – be sure to stop by and visit us!

Sneak Peek – e-session {Adelaide Wedding Photographer}

Planning weddings can be a stressful task. There is so much to do and so much to think about …

I met with an awesome couple on the weekend who are getting married in February at the beautiful Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens … they are so relaxed … honestly, I don’t think I’ve met a couple who seem so calm about it all … and that’s how it should be, your wedding day should flow and feel comfortable and unforced and be a reflection of ‘you’ …

This couple also seemed so comfortable in front of the camera … I can’t wait for their big day, a beautiful setting, beautiful people … a sensational day!

sneak peek {Adelaide Wedding Photographer}

Kate and I had an absolutely wonderful day last week photographing Carol and Bill.

Recently wed in Hong Kong this totally sweet couple honeymooned in Australia and stayed at the equisite luxury hotel The Louise in the Barossa Valley. If you want a relaxing weekend away or a truly romantic hideaway this is the place, just perfect.  Traveling with them was their wedding attire all ready for a photoshoot with us, a yummy cheese platter, a bottle of delicious champagne and a sunny afternoon. How stunning do they both look?! I fell in love with the wedding rings, both engraved with personal message and wedding date.

We began the afternoon with a picnic for two (and two more with cameras!)

totally cute! They snuggled and kissed and cuddled all afternoon!

Custom Weddings

We came across some fabulous locations – a vineyard, railway track, more vineyards, The Louise itself, a lovely park and more vineyards. We are so blessed to live in a state which is surrounded by gorgeous countryside filled with many vineyards acknowledged all over the world.

Destination Wedding Photographer

And one of my favourite shots of the day – a candid moment of these two in their own little love bubble… (this is the view from their room by the way – nice huh!)

Engagement Photography

And just for something different to finish off….. although these are just my shots… I will post some more of Kate’s later! What a fun day!

Looking forward to sending you your full gallery Bill and Carol. Hope you had a wonderful time here in ‘Oz’ and come back and visit us again sometime.
