Well, we are haven’t blogged for a whole week now … but there is good reason. We have been FLAT OUT.
We have about 4 sneak peeks to blog about since Christmas, and the new year has gone off with a bang! We are basically booked out for weekend shoots for the next 4-6 weeks, then the wedding season hits BIG TIME! …
We have some exciting news to share shortly, but we’ll save that for a separate post … but anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer needs to keep an eye on this blog!!! …
So in preparation for something huge we are doing in a few weeks, we (well … Merryn) organised a Trash the Dress Session … Sounds aweful doesn’t it!? but it really doesn’t have to trash the dress …
These shoots are designed for brides and grooms (or anyone who just wants to dress up and get some incredible images) who want the pure awesomeness of some of these locations and poses, but wouldn’t do them on their actual wedding day for fear of smudging make up or getting the dress a little dirty …
In the US the Trash the Dress (TTD) is huge. Brides routinely buy the ‘real’ dress and get a second one at the same time in order to do a TTD shoot either on the day or shortly afterwards, when they still have all their wedding ‘team’ assembled and love still fills the air! …
A huge thankyou to the amazing Natalie for hair and make up, and a huge, huge thank you to the wonderful Kim for dressing up and working her little butt off for us! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!

We had the most sensational time … I can’t tell you how much fun these sessions truly are! … we even got into a little bit of trouble from the owners of this church and cemetery (we just assumed that cemeterys were public spaces – we were wrong!)
Merryn will be blogging her shots later today so stay tuned! They are going to be AWESOME
…

PS: Happy New Year!

A church filled with family and friends.
I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for,
He said one that would make me his wife.”
